The XTL series (XTL 1500, 2500, 5000) will take the place of the ASTRO Spectra. How would one go on about upgrading the flashcode to support the TDMA Current Flashcode: 5010L82004800. The "W" series usually has "ASTRO" printed on the head somewhere. I recently purchased an APX6000XE on eBay, however it wasn’t until I recived the radio that I realized that the flashcode does not have the TDMA operation enabled. W3, W5, W7, and W9 - all not compatible with regular analog spectras. There area also several different "heads" that can me used on the ASTRO Spectra. The remote trunk mount radios are ~110 watts (or lower on 800 MHz). The dash mount radios are usually ~50 watts (or lower on 800 MHz). Frequency Database Amateur Radio Database Live Audio.
